What are the requirements to rent from O'Malley Car Rental? ^ Back to Top
Licence: All drivers must have held a full unendorsed driving licence for at least 2 years which they must produce at the O'Malley Car Rental location on commencement of the rental. The driving licence must be from the country of permanent residence. If the licence is not in English, an International Drivers Permit is also required. An International Drivers Permit/Licence is not acceptable on its own. Drivers with a UK licence must have both parts of their licence with them on collection of the vehicle.

Age: Drivers must be at least 25 years of age on commencement of the rental to drive groups A/B/C/J/K. For groups D/E/F/L the minimum age is 27 years and for groups H/N/O/P/R the minimum age is 28 years. The maximum age is 74 years for all drivers. Drivers aged 71 - 74 years inclusive must pay an insurance surcharge of €7 per day and additional optional insurances will be limited.

Credit Card: The main renter must be the holder of a major credit card. Payment must be made with a credit card as we do not accept cash, debit cards or the credit card from a third party. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club.

O'Malley Car Rental's online rates include VAT, third party insurance, collision damage waiver insurance, unlimited mileage, 24 hour roadside assistance and road map and are based on 24 hour rental periods. If you choose to waive CDW, you must hold a US issued Gold/Platinum MasterCard or a Canadian issued Gold/Platinum Visa Card.

When CDW insurance is included in the rate, the renter's financial liability is limited to the following excess:

When CDW insurance is included in your rate, the following insurances are available to further reduce the renter's financial liability: Theft Protection Insurance (TP) In the event of a break in, attempted break in or actual theft of the vehicle, the renter is liable for the value of damage or the full value of the car if stolen, unless Theft Protection Insurance has been purchased.

Exclusions: None! No Liability Northern Ireland Insurance (NI) If travelling to Northern Ireland, there is a fee of €30 per rental. This is to cover any accident or breakdown charges. Cars may not be taken off the island of Ireland.

Additional drivers can be insured on all car groups and must satisfy the same conditions as the main renter. See table below for rates.

Can I book a specific make/model? ^ Back to Top
O'Malley Car Rental will make every effort to supply the reserved model of car. However it is impossible for us to guarantee that a specific model will be provided. If the make/model of car that you have booked is not available then O'Malley Car Rental will supply a suitable alternative from the same car group classification.

When is a booking confirmed? ^ Back to Top
Your reservation will be confirmed when availability has been checked, you have received a reservation number and a deposit has been taken from your credit card.

Once a booking has been confirmed, a 50% deposit will be taken. Cancellation fees are charged as follows:

Do I need to provide flight information? ^ Back to Top
For all airport collections, you must provide us with the correct flight number and arrival time when booking your vehicle. If this information is not available to you at the time of booking, you must provide us with it at least 5 days before your arrival date. If we do not receive this information in time, we cannot take responsibility for a no show.

All airport collections are subject to an airport surcharge of €21 per rental, payable on arrival.

Can I return my car to a different location? ^ Back to Top
One way rentals are allowed between all branches when rentals are of a 3 day minimum. The charge for returning your car to a different county is €38 and for returning to a different branch within the same county is €20.

Do you supply baby and booster seats? ^ Back to Top
Baby and booster seats are available on requests and should be booked when reserving your car. Our baby seats are forward facing and are suitable for children aged from 9 months up to 4 years depending on the size of the child (9kg - 18kg). Our booster seats are suitable for children aged from 2 years up to 8 years.

O'Malley Car Rental's fuel policy is to charge the customer on collection of the car and request the car be returned empty.
